The Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) Career Fair will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Peacock Hall on the campus of Appalachian State University. The event, which will take place from 1:00pm-4:00pm, will continue the next day with selected candidates participating in interviews the following on Friday, February 19 .
Every fall and spring semester, the Brantley Center hosts this well-attended career fair to serve students at Appalachian and the insurance industry. Members of the AppState Gamma Iota Sigma chapter work the career fair, gaining valuable networking interaction with top insurance industry representatives.
The AppState RMI Career Fair educates students about careers in the industry and facilitates recruiting for both professional positions and summer internships. There are approximately 180 RMI majors at Appalachian, and a large percentage of the students will have successfully completed a summer internship in the insurance industry prior to graduation.
Partcipating organziations include Auto Owners Insurance, Eastern Alliance Insurance Group, Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Liberty Mutual and several more.
