Jennifer Lampo, a business management major concentrating in entrepreneurship, used her own business contacts and networking system to raise $3,000 in four weeks for children in India living in dump yards.
She was inspired to give to this cause after meeting with Isabel Richardson, the executive secretary of Madras Christian Council in Chennai, India, who delivered the keynote speech for the 4th Annual Global Opportunities Day presented in April by Appalachian State University's Walker College of Business.
