The Department of Economics honored students during the Spring 2025 Brashear Luncheon, May 1.
The Brashear Prize
Three students earned the Brashear Research Prize.
Jeffrey Blackham earned the best paper award, and Gavin Weidner and Liz Brown tied for second place.
The Brashear Prize is funded by an endowment honoring the late Professor John Brashear; it encourages App State students to engage in scholarly research and present their findings.

Omicron Delta Epsilon
Four students were inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon, one of the world’s largest academic honor societies.
The students are Wolfgang Enders, Ethan Grant, Grace Houle, and Hagen Livingston.
