Walker Business Connections, originally scheduled for Thursday, October 3, has been postponed. As more information becomes available, it will be posted at businesscareers.appstate.edu.
110 employers are set to attend Walker Business Connections, Appalachian State University's premiere career fair for business students, this Thursday, October 3, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Holmes Convocation Center (map).
Why Attend?
Open to graduate and undergraduate students, the event allows participants to network with representatives who will provide information on their full-time careers, part-time work, internship opportunities, and sometimes international jobs.
"My career fair journey began during my sophomore year when I unexpectedly discovered a remarkable opportunity [that led to a junior summer internship program], said Kenley Cannon, a member of App State's Collegiate Sales Society "If you’re debating whether to attend the career fair as a freshman or sophomore, I can’t recommend it enough. Even if you’re not eligible for positions yet, getting your face out there and making connections can make all the difference down the line."
"I spoke to some very talented and passionate people and made many important connections for my career," said Jonah Matthews, a member of the International Business Student Association, of his experience. "I remain in contact with some of these companies and am discussing potential opportunities for my future!"
