'Back to Business' Walker College to host career fair in Peacock Hall Wednesday, November 6

More than 60 employers are set to attend Back to Business, a unique career fair to be held in Peacock Hall on the campus of Appalachian State University.

It's this semester's version of Walker Business Connections, the Walker College of Business's premiere career fair for business students. The event was originally scheduled for Thursday, October 3, but was postponed as the university worked to recover from Hurricane Helene's effects.

Why Attend?

Open to graduate and undergraduate students, the event allows participants to network with representatives who will provide information on their full-time careers, part-time work, internship opportunities, and sometimes international jobs.

"My career fair journey began during my sophomore year when I unexpectedly discovered a remarkable opportunity [that led to a junior summer internship program], said Kenley Cannon, a member of App State's Collegiate Sales Society. "If you’re debating whether to attend the career fair as a freshman or sophomore, I can’t recommend it enough. Even if you’re not eligible for positions, getting your face out there and making connections can make all the difference."

"I spoke to some very talented and passionate people and made many important connections for my career," said Jonah Matthews, an International Business Student Association member, of his experience. "I remain in contact with some of these companies and am discussing potential opportunities for my future!"
