Appalachian State University alumnus Peter Kirk '92 was named Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2025 New York Award winner by Ernst & Young LLP, which recognizes leaders of high‑growth companies who demonstrate innovation, purpose and sustained impact.
Kirk is a healthcare technology innovator and CEO of Sermo, a global physician engagement platform that provides real-time insights and collaborative tools to help healthcare professionals improve outcomes across the medical community. He is a 1992 App State alumnus, having earned his BSBA in Finance from the Walker College of Business.
The winners were selected by an independent panel of past recipients, CEOs and business leaders who evaluated nominees based on long-term value creation, entrepreneurial spirit and measurable industry influence.
