Walker College of Business students hear practical advice on internships

More than 50 Walker College of Business students attended an internship panel and Q&A session on September 26, the evening before the fifth annual Walker Business Connections.

The internship panel offered students a forum to ask questions and get inside information about internships and the potential value of relevant experience on their career path.

Business student panelists included Haley Robinson, who had previously completed a business analyst internship with Lowes Companies; and Lauren Smith, who completed her internship in human resources with Kendra Scott.

Wells Fargo Learning & Development Specialist Matt Hord and Blue Ridge Energy Talent Development Manager Heidi Ragan and HR Manager Karen Warlick offered advice from an employer perspective.
