Walker College of Business Advisory Council member and MBA professor Roy McCraw has teamed up with Jody Tompson, a professor at University of Tampa and director of UT's Naimoli Institute for Business Strategy, to "take to the airwaves to teach leadership" in Tampa, FL.
According to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the duo has recorded 12 one-hour conversations about successful practices to run organizations. Topics range from the behavior and characteristics of excellent leaders to motivating employees to cross-cultural management.
The talks are now airing on NewsTalk Florida radio station AM 820 on Sundays at noon. The series is titled Leadership Lessons: A Course in Management and Leadership.
McCraw, who is a former regional chairman and president of Wachovia Corp. in Tampa, was among the most notable bankers in Tampa Bay before he retired from Wachovia in 2008, before that bank's acquisition by Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC). He was a past president of Fortune Bancorp and Fortune Bank of Clearwater, and past president of Allen and Company, a retail investment firm in Lakeland.
