Walker College Professor to present during 45th Apimondia International Congress in Turkey

Center for Analytics Research and Education (CARE) Director Joseph Cazier will present his research on Data Analytics and Internet of Things at the World Bee Congress (Apimondia) in Istanbul, Turkey.

The World Bee Congress is the largest gathering of beekeepers in the world and, this year, takes place September 29 - October 4.

Dr. Cazier is a professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. He is a leader in the field of analytics and serves as the chief analytics officer for Blowing Rock Software where he leads analytics efforts to improve the survival of bees.

Dr. Cazier teaches courses in Appalachian State University's MS in Applied Data Analytics program. Students in his classes learn from his efforts, as they focus on sustainability and analytics initiatives, and his work serves as a model for students as they grow their capability in the field of data science.
