Members of the Walker College of Business staff have earned a Staff Senate Staff Shout Out for exemplary service in their work during the fourth quarter (October - December) of the calendar year 2021. Among those honored are:
Walker College Events Specialist Kim Bock, who is recognized for "being a great team player."
Walker College Graduate Student Services Associate Cele Burt, who is "always gracious to take extra duties beyond her role to advance business graduate programs."
Executive Director of Business Career Services Michelle Casper, who "is an inspiration not only in the excellent work that she does in the Walker College, but also in her ability to recognize those in need and actively work to help them, while motivating others to do the same."
Walker College Facilities & Resource Coordinator Sabrina Cheves, who helped her nominator "above and beyond what was required" and whose "selflessness" inspires her teammates.
Walker College Communications Director Haley Childers, who "provides much needed assistance with events."
Business Academic Advising Records Specialist Elizabeth Jones, who was recognized for being a "delightful" colleague and attending the university student records staff meetings.
Walker College Graduate Programs Administrator Donna Lindabury, who "always goes the extra mile to support all Walker College stakeholders."
Scholarship Coordinator Kathy Mann, who recently "worked tirelessly in organizing, editing and advising on over 45 AP&P proposals, staying late and going above and beyond to ensure deadlines were met!"
Business Computer Consultant Tung Ong who "goes over and above to assist" and proactively plans for technology support leading to successful meetings.
Global and Civic Engagement Specialist Meredith Pipes, who was recognized for "all of the work she's done with App Advocates and DEI in the Walker College."
Business Academic Advising Records Supervisor Karen Wilkinson, who was recognized for being a "delightful" colleague and attending the university student records staff meetings.
Computer Information Systems Department Administrator Samantha Williams who "consistently goes the extra mile to support others," and "is diligent in keeping the staff in the Walker College informed about university opportunities and goings on in Staff Senate."

About the Shout Out Program
The shout outs are an informal recognition program to encourage positive morale and staff engagement.
The program is one of several ways Appalachian State University's Staff Senate Recognition Committee works to create a positive work environment, improve employee engagement and encourage an environment of support and appreciation.
