The Department of Accounting welcomes one new lecturer, Zachary Lachance.

Most recently, Lahance was a senior internal auditor for Extended Stay America. He is a two-time App State alumnus, having earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the Walker College in 2015 and 2017, respectively. The Department of Computer Information Systems welcomes three new faculty members, associate professor Russell Haines, assistant professor Deepti Agrawal, and lecturer Maureen Allen.

Dr. Haines brings practical and teaching experience in the Information Systems and Technology field, including networking, cybersecurity, systems development, web development, database design, project management and information policy. He comes to App State from the University of Münster, Germany, where he most recently served as a visiting professor. Dr. Haines’ research interests include virtual teams and computer-mediated communication. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University and a PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston. Most recently, Dr. Agrawal was an assistant professor of information technology and cybersecurity at Missouri State University. Dr. Agrawal’s research interests include the adoption and use of information technology, open innovation and IT ecosystems, and Information Security. Dr. Nicholas Poggioli will serve as an assistant professor in the Department of Management. His research interests include sustainable business and knowledge production. Dr. Poggioli most recently served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute. He earned his PhD from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Nandi earned her MSE in manufacturing engineering from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and her PhD in Management from Xavier University, India.
