Walker College's full time undergraduate enrollment highest in the UNC System

The Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University has the highest full time undergraduate business enrollment in the University of North Carolina (UNC) System, according to data provided by the UNC system's interactive reporting tool.

Based on 2017 figures, Appalachian enrolls 3160 undergraduate business students.

North Carolina State University had the second highest undergraduate business enrollment with 2859 students, and UNC Greensboro had the third highest with 2856 majors.

The UNC System enrolls more than 230,000 students at 17 institutions, including all 16 of the state's public universities, as well as the nation's first public residential high school for academically gifted students, the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. 

The filter criteria utilized for this report include 2017 data, student count of degree seeking, lower and upper division undergraduate level, with a broad category of business as a first major.
