On February 22, 2018, Walker Spring Connect provided the foundation for long-lasting relationships that connects Appalachian State University students to jobs.
More than one thousand business students attended the event, and more than 150 students were asked to come back for interviews.
Of the 220 recruiters and 85 companies in attendance, 19 companies conducted formal interviews with Appalachian business students.
"The students... were prepared and professional," said a recruiter from ECR software. "They were a good reflection of the business college."
With thousands of Appalachian alumni launching new business careers each year, the Walker College of Business is force of positive change in our communities and in our world.
The college's job placement rates are consistently higher than the national average, and much of this success can be attributed to programming like Spring Connect, to internship and job placement support from Business Career Services in the BB&T Student Leadership Center.
