Young alumnus earns prestigious award in insurance

The Caldwell Journal recently reported that Appalachian State University Alumnus Cameron Annas '13 has earned the Thoroughbred Award for being the top new business performer in North Carolina Keystone Insurers Group. According to the post, Annnas' success derives from his specialty in the Adventure Sport industry where his team currently serves clients in more than 36 states.

Annas is vice president of business development for Granite Insurance Agency and, in this role, leads and develops high growth initiatives and directives in all departments. Previously, Annas served Granite Insurance as a business risk consultant.

Annas is a 2013 graduate of the Walker College of Business, having earned his BSBA in Risk Management & Insurance and Finance & Banking.

As a student at Appalachian, Annas was a Walker Fellow and a member of the Risk Management and Insurance Society, the Finance Student Association, and the Honors Program.
