Appalachian’s executive education program to host December 1 information session for business community

The Walker College of Business will host an executive education information session on Thursday, December 1, from 5:30 - 7:00 PM, in the Peacock Hall Broyhill Commons area on Appalachian State University’s campus.

The event is open to the public and targets professionals or company representatives with training needs.
Refreshments will be served.

The executive education program provides the regional business community the opportunity to participate in executive education offerings in customizable formats. The program aims to fill an industry need to further employee growth in functional areas of business, and will allow participants flexibility to participate in the way that’s best fitted to them. Led by experienced Appalachian faculty who possess doctorate degrees in the content area they teach in, executive education courses will offer research-based insights and provide the opportunity to gain critical knowledge, learn about industry trends and develop new expertise.

Possible topics include lean six sigma, financial management, marketing and sales, human resource management, IT for non-IT managers, and leadership development.
