Commencement Ceremonies

May 10-11

The Spring 2024 commencement ceremony will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11. Find the most up-to-date information on the university's commencement website. Graduate students may also attend the college ceremony, and students from App State's MBA, MS in Accounting and MS in Applied Data Analytics programs are additionally invited to participate in a Hooding Ceremony on Friday, May 10. 

Macebearer

Dr. Brandy Hadley — Associate Professor of Finance, David A. Thompson Distinguished Scholar of Applied Investments and 2023 Sywassink Awardee for Teaching Excellence — will serve as Macebearer in the 9:00 a.m. ceremony on May 11.

Dr. Sandra Vannoy, Dean of the Walker College of Business, will carry the college banner in the 9:00 a.m. ceremony on May 11.

Dr. Jeff Kaleta, Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems, will carry the university banner in the 9:00 a.m. ceremony on May 11.

Hooding Ceremony

Graduate students will attend the college ceremony represented by their major field of study. Additionally, students from App State's MBA, MS in Accounting and MS in Applied Data Analytics programs are invited to participate in a Graduate Programs Hooding Ceremony on Friday, May 10, at 2:00 p.m. in the Grandview Ballroom. For information about the hooding ceremony, please contact Kim Kirby, kirbyko@appstate.edu.
