Members of the Walker College of Business staff have earned a Staff Senate Staff Shout Out for exemplary service in their work. Among those honored in 2020 were:

- Veronica Lozano-Toub, Associate Director of Business Career Services
- Dave McEvoy, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Administration
- Linda Meznar, Executive Assistant and Budget Director
- Amy Odom, Associate Director of Business Career Services
- Erich Schlenker, TI Center for Entrepreneurship Director
- Mandy Southern, Walker College of Business Dean's Office Administrative Support Specialist
"As our Events Specialist, Kim has had to work on a whole new set of skills to help us put on virtual events," said her nominator. "No matter how stressed I get, Kim calmly steps in to help me. She continues to think of things I did not and makes our events run so smoothly."
"Haley is always willing to go the extra mile and help a co-worker," said her nominator. "She is an amazing resource, and I would be lost without her!"
"Samantha goes the extra mile," said her nominator. Specifically, she notably supported the new interim chair and facilitated the bee conference!
"Veronica always sees every student as an individual," said her nominator. "I have seen her make the perfect connection and match between a student and a position, and she truly celebrates when a student finds a perfect internship experience or job."
"This time during COVID-19 have been quite stressful for many, but Dr. McEvoy's leadership, kindness and clear direction have made it easier for those around him," said his nominator.
"Linda is a joy to work with and always goes the extra mile to help those around her," said her nominator.
"Amy has been dedicated to provide opportunities that will enhance the experience of the women in Women of Walker for which she serves as the advisor," explained her nominator. "She asked the students what they wanted in terms of interaction during this period of remote learning, and was then able to go the extra mile to provide meaningful interactions, networking and learning experiences through virtual interactions."
Quoting a student, Erich Schlenker's nominator said, "He is a legend and definitely a mentor." The conversation "left quite an impression... both the energy with which the students expressed and the impact Erich had upon him."
Mandy Southern's nominator said, "Mandy helped to plan and manage a superb day-long event with remarkable resourcefulness, flexibility and grace. I'm proud to work with such great talent."
The shout outs are an informal recognition program to encourage positive morale and staff engagement.
