At Appalachian State University, Hadley holds the David A. Thompson Distinguished Professorship in Applied Investments and is a faculty advisor to the Bowden Investment Group. She is a two-time App State alumna and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. Hadley joined the App State faculty in 2017 and has received both the Sywassink Excellence in Research Award (2020) and the Sywassink Excellence in Teaching Award (2023) from the Walker College of Business.
