Finance professor is a finalist in Boone Chamber's 4 Under 40 Awards

Associate Professor of Finance, Dr. Brandy Hadley, has been named a finalist in the Boone Chamber's 4 Under 40 Awards, which showcase emerging leaders in the High Country.

Hadley is one of 16 community members selected from 58 nominations across four categories: Business Owner, Education Professional, Non-Profit Professional, and Rising Star. Nominees were acknowledged for their business achievements, community and civic involvement, and other related activities.

An education professional category finalist, Hadley will be recognized as part of the 9th Annual 4 Under 40 Awards ceremony on Wednesday, March 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Appalachian Theatre in Downtown Boone. Event Details & Registration

Hadley joined the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance in 2017 and serves as the David A. Thompson Distinguished Scholar of Applied Investments and as lead faculty advisor for the Bowden Investment Group. She is the 2023 recipient of the Walker College of Business Sywassink Excellence Award for Teaching. Hadley is a two-time App State graduate, earning bachelor's degrees in finance and banking, risk management and insurance in 2009 and an MBA in 2011. Learn more about Dr. Hadley.
