Dr. Tanga Mohr, professor of economics at Appalachian State University’s Walker College of Business, has been named director of business research.
In this role, Mohr will support and advance the college’s research initiatives, foster interdisciplinary collaboration and help strengthen the Walker College’s research impact.
Mohr previously served as interim director of business research and is an accomplished researcher in applied microeconomics, energy and resource economics.
Mohr earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of South Carolina and has been a faculty member at Appalachian State University since 2004. Her research has been widely published, and she has been instrumental in leading studies on consumer energy consumption and public attitudes toward water management in Western North Carolina.
