12 named 2025 Holland Fellows

Twelve Appalachian State University students have been named Holland Fellows for 2025; they will participate in an international business exchange program to Asia.

Founded in 1996, the Holland Fellows Program is named for the late William R. Holland, businessman and honorary App State alumnus.

The initiative offers participants exceptional experiential learning and global travel opportunities.

“We are thrilled to announce the 2025 Cohort of the Holland Fellows Program,” said Jesse Pipes, Program Director. “This year’s cohort is composed of outstanding individuals who will represent the college and university with excellence in academic performance, leadership, and global engagement.”

The cohort will engage in rigorous coursework, research, and preparation throughout the spring and the following academic term, culminating in an international experience presenting their sustainability research to Kontoor Brands. The program aims to equip students with the skills to thrive in an interconnected world, fostering their ability to lead with vision, empathy, and cultural understanding.
