BOONE, N.C. — William James Sears Jr. has been appointed vice chancellor of university advancement at Appalachian State University, announced Chancellor Heather Norris on Friday, May 2.

Alexandra LaRocca, a senior communication studies major from Raleigh, was crowned Appalachian State University’s 2020 Top of the Rock by university mascot Yosef as App State Chancellor Sheri Everts, far left in background, looked on.
