Business students earn DiBernardi and Dunnigan Leadership Awards

Business students earned top honors during Appalachian State University's Celebration of Leadership and Legacy Award Ceremony April 20, 2018.

Junior finance and banking and risk management and insurance double major Jon Garst earned the Bobby L. Dunnigan Service Award. The award recognizes those students who are employed in the Division of Student Affairs at Appalachian who have distinguished themselves through the scope and quality of their service during their employment.

Senior accounting major Emily Young earned the Berardino DiBernardi Student Award for Leadership and Legacy. The award celebrates the traditions and importance of leadership, service and legacy that DiBernardi emphasized in his significant and varied roles during his 38 years at Appalachian.

The student organization of the year, Beans 2 Brew, was also celebrated, and senior accounting major Maggie King accepted the award for Student Organization Presidential Award for the Appalachian Student Ambassador Organization.
