Liz Mick '81 named inaugural 'Scholarship Leader'

The Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University has awarded Elizabeth “Liz” Mick the college's first-ever Scholarship Leaders award.

The Scholarship Leaders Award

The Scholarship Leaders award recognizes individuals who have provided consistent and significant leadership in supporting App State business students through scholarships.

The award was presented on October 28, 2022 during the college's annual Scholarship Reception, which brings together scholarship recipients with their benefactors.

"Liz has a passion for helping others succeed, and helping students at App State and the Walker College of Business, especially," said Walker College Dean Sandra Vannoy. "Liz is one of the most spirited Mountaineers I know; it is fitting for this strong advocate for the university to be the first recipient of this award."
