Local business leaders brush up on Excel knowledge through online, data-driven learning session

Dr. Scott Hunsinger, interim chair of Appalachian State University's Department of Computer Information Systems, recently presented a professional education seminar on Data Driven Decision Making Using Microsoft Excel to members of the Boone Chamber of Commerce.   

During the session, which was attended by Chamber executive board members and program partners, Dr. Hunsinger discussed how to use data to drive business decisions and offered ideas to get started organizing, analyzing and visualizing in a variety of organizations.

"Dr. Hunsinger was successful in providing valuable information on how to strategically manage and interpret data to hopefully make informed business decisions," said Boone Chamber Director of Communications and Marketing Katie Greene.

The session is now available to the public at this recorded Zoom link for anyone who is interested in learning. 

Walker College Dean Sandra Vannoy is Chair Elect of the Chamber's Executive Board and the Walker College is a program partner.
