Walker College of Business alumnus Brad Sparks ACC ’97 ’98 has been named director of The Prince of Wales's Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) US CFO Leadership Network.
A4S started in 2004 to inspire finance leaders to develop more resilient business models for a sustainable economy. Last year, A4S launched its US CFO Network with a diverse group of leading CFOs, including those from Caterpillar, Levi's, Mars, Moody's, S&P, Salesforce and Verizon. Sparks said that this year A4S will work to engage the wider finance community, including the launch of the A4S Academy, a workshop for finance executives on embedding sustainability in decision-making.
Previously, Sparks served as executive director of global corporate citizenship at KPMG, where he led the integration of corporate responsibility across the KPMG global network.
At Appalachian, Sparks has served as a speaker for Business for Good and earned the outstanding young alumnus award from the university in 2011.
