Walker College to hold September 4 information session for students interested in studying business in Asia

An information session for Appalachian State University students interested in participating in the Holland fellows program will be held Wednesday, September 4 at 5:00 p.m. in Peacock Hall Room 4018

The Holland Fellows program includes a semester-long study of business in the US and Asia and two weeks of travel to sites including Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Bangkok, Thailand. Participants explore business design and internationalization through organizational visits. The program cost is $2,500, which includes all air travel (domestic and international), all lodging and most meals, ground transportation and entrance fees.

During the information session, students can learn more and ask questions of staff members.

Applicants must be a junior or senior business major with a GPA of 3.0 or better and must be admitted to the Walker College of Business by the end of the fall semester. Students participating in the program are required to enroll in BUS 4065, Holland Fellows International Business Study in Asia II (3 credit hours) in Summer 2025, and BUS 4060, Holland Fellows International Business Study in Asia I (3 credit hours) in Spring 2025.

The 2025 Holland Fellowship online application is open until October 4.
