Walker College staff members honored for service, longevity

Eight Walker College of Business staff members were recently honored for their service to Appalachian State University.

Appalachian's Office of Human Resources hosts an annual staff appreciation breakfast, which serves as a forum to honor staff members. The 2017 event was held October 26.

Assistant Director of the Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship Jonathan Carpenter,  Dean's Office Administrative Specialist Sheri Lawrence, and Director of Development Will Sears were recognized for having served the university for five years.

Events Specialist Kim Bock, Budget Director Jane Fitchlee, and Global and Civic Engagement Specialist Meredith Pipes were honored for having served the university for 10 years.

Two staff members were honored for 25 years of service to the university. They are Greg Langdon, associate director of the Brantley Risk & Insurance Center, who joined the Appalachian State family in 1992 and the Brantley Center team in 2011, and Lisa Wetherell, records specialist in the college's Office of  Academic Advising.
