Business Research at Appalachian

The Walker College faculty produce and disseminate extensive research through both academic and professional communities. In the last five years, faculty have published 543 peer reviewed academic journal articles, 160 conference proceedings, and made 533 conference and professional presentations. In total, faculty have produced 1,175 intellectual contributions in the last five years. Approximately 520 intellectual contributions were made in basic or discovery research, 540 in applied or integrative research, and 115 contributions in teaching and learning research.

Appalachian's Office of Research and Innovation

Appalachian's Office of Research and Innovation offers support for the research, creative, and scholarly endeavors of Appalachian faculty, staff, and students and collaborates with Special Funds Accounting on the fiscal management of awarded projects.

These projects have the potential to promote economic development and position North Carolina as a leader in strategically important research areas. The ROI represents North Carolina’s first financial investment in the UNC system’s five-year strategic plan.

Walker College Office of Graduate Programs & Research
