Kathryn 'Kathy' Oszmianski Pou ’79 ECO has been named alumna of the year for the Walker College of Business by Appalachian State University’s Alumni Association.

The App State Alumni Association recognized four Mountaineers at the university’s 2025 Alumni Awards Gala, held July 12 on the Boone campus. Pictured with App State Chancellor Heather Norris, center, from left to right, are Outstanding Service Award recipient Phillip Ostwalt ’83, Distinguished Alumni Award recipient Kimberly Shepherd ’97, Distinguished Alumni Award recipient Retired U.S. Army Col.
